You say you have learned the ways of the real world.  How ethics and loyalty mean nothing.  However, you have learned these bitter lessons in the most regressive State in the United States. This State is fully committed to the plot that originated at the University of Chicago in the early 70's.  They saw the rapid unraveling of the social institutions that held society together, the churches, schools, work ethic etc. and attributed it to a flaw in the Constitution, and planed to revert to a religious aristocracy.  

How these scholars at the most prestigious school of economics in the world could be so blind to the history of aristocracies?  They have all ended when the poor have had enough of the gross imbalance in the distribution of wealth, and rebelled often with weapons consisting of their fists and clubs.  They overwhelmed the kings and queens armies with superior weapons, and the peasants ended the aristocracy with a massacre of the aristocrats.  Review the French Revolution as the most recent graphic example of this horrific but necessary event.  The only aristocracy left is the Saudi's, who are a special case because of their enormous oil wealth, they pay off the non members of the royal family, about 6,000 people, to keep the masses quiet. But what will happen when the oil money runs out, a repeat of the French experience. BTW the Saudi’s are our biggest enemies.

Texas has accomplished the following in the 23 years the neo-conservatives have had control of every level of government in this State:

1)Texas has the 10th largest economy in the world (California is 5th)

2)Texas has the highest incarceration rate in the world by far (and 70% of the inmates are Black)

3)Texas rates 49th in the dollars spent per student in the public schools ( only Alabama is worse,) and you have been there, it is like the South before the Civil Rights Movement.

4)Texas rates 51st in Medicaid dollars spent.  That means even less than Washing DC, which half of the city is a ghetto and always has been. The irony is that it costs more for the disadvantaged to receive care through the ER.  A Texas physician who studies these issues stated that 2,000 Texans would die yearly if the Medicaid system was not propped up.  Governor Perry turned down 9 billion dollars from the Obama administration, which was essentially free money. His pathetic explanation was that he had to prove he could stand up to Obama to keep his Presidential aspirations intact.  He is a stupid sociopath, unqualified to teach a High School class in Government. In his last election he garnered 17% (all members of the ultra right wing churches that support him and the plan to return to a religious Aristocracy) of the registered voters in Texas.  Texans have essentially dropped out of the Democratic Republic system by not voting and allowing the sociopaths to run the State.  Perry's main support are the radical right wing Churches who want to return to a religious aristocracy, which was the main reason the Founding Fathers ancestors fled to America at great risk. These are Christian churches in name only.  Even with the distortions the Catholic Church wrote into the bible when it was written in 700 AD, Jesus of Nazereth taught in parables that no one had the right to tell others how to practice religion because we are all children of God. He died defending this profound insight.

5)Texas has ignored the current drought which 100% of the climatologists agree will last 100-200 years. Yet the government has not warned the public of the danger.  Austin will run out of water in about 2 years. They are keeping the usage at 400,000 acre/feet per year by tapping the ground water. The aquifers had not been studied in 50 years, but when the reservoirs were almost empty, a thorough study using state of the art technology, found that there was a vast quantity of high quality water in the Austin area, as there was in many areas of the state. Private companies  tapped the aquifers and sold it to the water districts which was very profitable.  The best analysis of the aquifers study, independent of the state was done by an investigative reporter, who was the former science columnist for the New York Times.  She estimated that the water will last about two years, or three if the public mounted a strong conservation effort, which they have never done before, and their has been no change in behavior since her report.  Austin uses 25% of its water on GRASS!  Grass of any kind should be outlawed in any drought prone area. New Mexico realized they were looking at a serious water problem in 1990, and the public reduced their water consumption by 50%; landscaping is strictly Xeroscaping, using only native plants that are drought tolerant, and rocks and aged wood of interesting shapes.

 When Austin runs out of ground water it is finished. The city is not salvageable no mater when it runs dry. No water means no power. The steam turbine which has been the industry standard for generating power from burning something to create steam requires large amounts of water to cool it down when it periodically speeds up out of control.  The world’s best engineers have worked to solve this design defect for 30 years and there is apparently no solution to the random speeding up, so we are stuck with the necessity of having large amounts of water ready for cooling 24/7 (and that includes nuclear reactors---the recent disaster in Japan caused by an earth quake, occurred because the water main which cooled the steam turbine was dislodged, and the turbine couldn’t be cooled. As a result it exploded and destroyed the control mechanisms for the reactor, which in turn exploded sending enormous amounts of highly radioactive cesium into the air, contaminating the island where it was located, and the ocean, some of which crossed the pacific and showed up on the coast of California. 

That means overnight Austin will experience total socioeconomic anarchy abruptly without any warning from the Government.  The new Governor Abbot is more secretive about the water situation than Perry. He will certainly not call the President and report the natural disaster because the GOP, now mostly Tea Party members in the legislature, have also kept the citizens in the dark about the danger. It is apparently taboo in the State Government so even say “we might run out of water”, thus there is not even a discussion about how to prepare the city and the people for the catastrophe that they know is coming. If this is not “manslaughter” I don’t now what is!  Tens of thousands of people will perish because they were not warned.  On the publics side, they show no interest in the drought, and do not bother to investigate.  This town is swimming in science Phd’s, as the university of Texas has 26,000 graduate students, the majority in the sciences to fuel the high tech economy, but not even these hyper educated scientists take any interest in the drought.

Obama has been here twice in the last 2 years touting Austin as an example of how a city can prosper in this depression, and he and his staff clearly know nothing about the drought.  So even though there is a major Army Base an hour away, they will not be present to maintain order. The public will not be able to obtain the necessities of life for several days, and tens of thousands will perish. A young and healthy individual can last 3 days without water, but on the third day their survival instincts will cause them to do things that they would normally not even consider.  Steal, kill people who have water to get it to save themselves and their children (who may already be dead if they are young---some teenagers may be saved if the get water on the third day).  The hospitals are run by corporations for profit, and only for profit, so they will just shut down and pull out.  Nursing home patients will be as good as dead.  It will be the ugliest event in an American city ever.  The government will shut down, and will have to be moved to another city.  The legislature are obstructionists, and it will take a year or more before they can agree on where to move the capitol to.  Tea Party principles are: never compromise and never change your mind, so choosing a new home for the State Government will be an old fashioned pissing contest, lots or words that mean nothing,and will probably degenerate to adolescent name calling. Meanwhile all former state employees, the largest contingent is the teachers will not get their monthly retirement checks for a couple of years at least, destroying hundreds of thousands of lives all over the state.  This will be a shock that will wake up the public to what the GOP sociopaths have done to them while they were watching TV. Their rage will stimulate the fastest change of power in any state ever in this nations history.  The GOP has had everything go their way for 23 years and are overconfident.  Ripe for a thundering upset that they will have no idea how to handle, except to lie as usual.  But the public will just become more enraged as they make excuses for what they did intentionally.  The GOP will fall and fall hard. And not recover for years. This conflict could easily bankrupt the state. No taxes will be collected and the expense of moving the capitol will be high.  The population will probably drop by several million, crushing a state that has thrived on

growth. Agriculture will continue to nose dive as the drought is expected to expand east to just short of the Dallas-Fort Worth mega city of 6+ million and still growing as fast as builders can throw housing together.

I cold go on, but the point is that the corruption and inhumane slashing of the budgets of all programs that assist the needy, has a trickle down effect.  When leadership treats people like animals for such a long period of time,  people think that if they can do these cruel things, we can too.  Save money on employee benefits, fire the trouble makers (anyone who questions their policies), and increase profits.  The bailing out of the hopitals when they are needed most in the case of this sudden socioeconomic anarchy, is another strong piece of evidence that health care CANNOT BE FAIRLY DELIVERED BY FOR PROFIT CORPORATIONS. 

People resist Obamacare, a big step towards a national health care system, because it’s “socialism”. “It will raise our Taxes”, but in some very concrete ways they are already being “taxed” because insurance coverage provided by the hospital corporations raises their rates very significantly to make up for the uninsured who rely on the ER for medical care, which is 5-10x as expensive as a Medicaid paid for office call. Of all prosperous countries we have by far the lowest  tax rates; about 35%.  The Europeans with their “socialist” health care systems pay 50-70% taxes, and they don’t complain about it because everyone will be taken care of. As a result there is very little dire poverty as there is in the United States.  The neo-con mythology is that people without insurance and relying on the ER are slobs living off “the system”.  The truth is most of them work, many two jobs, but their employers provide no health care coverage. They can only get minimum wage jobs because of the lack of education or other training. Married couples both have to work, and one of them must have two jobs just to live in a run down one bedroom apartment in a dangerous part of their city.  If they have children, they grow up feeing deprived because of junk product hard sell on television, every kid MUST have a cell phone.  Being largely unsupervised, as their parents are at work most of the time, they watch a lot of TV, which we know causes mental illness, and/or get into trouble with sex, drugs and petty crime. Teenagers need constructive things to do, like sports or learning to play a musical instrument.  If these activities are not provided, they will do something, their hormones command them to be active. In addition to the risk of pregnancy (Texas has eliminated clinics that give sexual education and contraceptives and teach about Sexually Transmitted Diseases, STD’s.)  So they learn what to do from their know nothing “friends” who may have no active parents at all, they just stay at home drink beer or use drugs and pay no attention to their children, usually not knowing or caring where they are or what they are doing.  A very rigorous study of people on welfare done a few years ago, showed that less than 5% are really freeloaders; the vast majority work hard at lousy jobs doing the best they can to provide for the family and work even harder to do a good job parenting their children.  But Americans hate cheaters, even if they are cheaters themselves, and want to stop the “system”; a classic example of throwing the baby our with the bathwater (an interesting expression originated in the late Middle Ages from a common life practice, look it up). The trickle down effect I wrote about

earlier.

First, I must congratulate you for writing the most current, thorough, and well documented book on the situation of our planet.  I applaud your years of work in positions of importance, and difficultly and the respect that you have earned.

A very important factor has emerged from the science of neuroscience and psychiatry:  the proof that the sociopaths have been the cause of 99% of the

misery that man has rendered on other men throughout the ages.

Sociopaths are the cause of “evil” (in Christian terms) ; they play an enormous role in the ecological damage to the planet as well as being the cause of the corruption

of our government, including President Bush’s disastrous and illegal war in Iraq

at a cost of 3.5 trillion dollars and the lives of 8,000 American soldiers as well as

250,000+ Iraqis.

In addition, the breakdown of the banking system in 2008, which almost bankrupted the U.S and started a worldwide economic collapse, made billions of dollars for the sociopathic bankers. They were not punished in any way.

When President Obama selected his financial advisors to hopefully create regulations to prevent such an event in the future, he found that ALL of the upper-crust bankers were sociopaths. He, thus, ended up with some people who engineered the banking collapse making billions of dollars at the same time.

Needless to say, no regulations to prevent future “legal” theft from the American people were implemented.

For at least 3 decades, child psychiatrists have been able to identify future sociopaths based on a child’s behavior. What is new is vigorous scientific proof of the reasons for their behavior.  Due to a genetic defect , they are born without the brain mechanisms to tell right from wrong.  These brain defects occur in utero because of a genetic defect present in 0.9% of every population group on the planet.

This tells us that the sociopath has been a part of our species for hundreds of millions of years.

We now have the ability to identify sociopaths; and, having identified them, develop methods of preventing the sociopath from gaining positions of power.

This would greatly accelerate governments loosening their attachment to unbridled laissez faire capitalism, which is what drives the thoughtless use of fossil fuels and the raping of the Earth and the Oceans of other resources. These resources are being virtually stolen from developing nations such as those in Africa and South America.

All other positions of power have stringent requirements to even enter training programs: doctors, lawyers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Once they are in training, they are constantly observed to ensure that they possess the intellectual, ethical, moral, and desire to fill these positions in society.  A weak commitment means the individual is likely to quit training and waste the $100,000 or so invested in their training.  Trauma surgeons have the most demanding training of anyone in society.  The skillset needed is so enormous that few are capable of completing the training.  Few are admitted to this elite work, which literally saves lives.

Our military surgeons are the best in the World because they are the most experienced and the most extensively trained.

Why shouldn’t there be a similar system of requirements before a would-be politician is allowed to run for office ? The higher the position,  the greater the opportunity to abuse voters and other peoples around the World. As I stated before, Bush’s unlawful war on Iraq is a case in point.

A Constitutional amendment would empower society to keep sociopaths and others with unstable mental conditions from obtaining positions of control over other people. This directly addresses the discussion  of “The State Will Get More Involved.”, and your distress over the fact that Global society will only when they are forced to by another round of Katrina like episodes convinces powerful heads of governments and corporation that it makes economic sense.  But that may be too late to prevent reaching the tilt point of 2.8 degrees of warming.  These ideas, if well executed would accelerate the entry of large powerful and wealthy institutions into the foray at least 10 years earlier, which could easily make the difference in survival accompanied by the most sophisticated and humane societies in the history of our species, and the most rapid extinction cycle ever.  These differences in outcomes could not be greater.

The same type of level-based system should also imposed on the heads of corporations since corporations are considered “people.”

This is an opportunity never before available in the history of our species.

It gives America the chance to regain its position as the greatest experiment in producing a nation that offers freedom and opportunity for everyone, as stated in both the Declaration of Independence as well as the Constitution.

At present we have been knocked off our pedestal and the Constitution is in shreds.

This is because of the corruption of power by sociopaths in our government as well as the support of these “evil” people by other sociopaths in the corporate world like the Koch brothers.

The response of the public to the life-threatening situation due to the drought that is unprecedented in our species is tragic.  Humans have caused the global warming that makes normal droughts for 30 or so billion people living in a desert such as Texas or California impossible to survive the way it is NOT being handled at present.

The Texas governor and legislature do not even acknowledge that the drought will cause the capital in Austin to run out of water.  By keeping the citizens in the dark about what is a certainty that every climatologist in the world agrees on, the opportunity to survive is denied the people.

The climatologists agree that the drought from the Pacific Ocean to the plains of Texas will last 100-200 years.

The governor of California is being quite transparent about the severity of the crisis in his state; but, the California population has not changed their behavior by conserving water nor made any plans to migrate when they do run out of water and power.

 For example, the steam turbine, the standard device used to generate electricity for 3 decades cannot be operated safely without large amounts of water to cool it down.

Exceptions are hydroelectric power and wind-generated power. Texas has more wind-generation capacity than any other state; but, the government refuses to build power lines to deliver it to the major cities.

HOW TO IDENTIFY A SOCIOPATH :

There are several recently published books from psychologists which do a good job of teaching readers to identify sociopaths. One such book is entitled :

                                                                       “SNAKES IN SUITS.”

Here are a few ways that I have determined :

Anyone who hoards money in a world when billions of people are starving is a sociopath. They care about themselves and nobody else.

The first book to address the sociopath (though the author does not use that label.) is Scott Peck’s “People of the Lie” This book sold well in the “self help” community.

I heard Mr. Peck speak. He is “the real thing.” He is a man who lives by true Christian principles as truly taught by Jesus; and, he walks the talk. Dr. Peck suffered severe degenerative arthritis of the spine ; sitting in a chair to give a 2 hour lecture was torture. Just as Rachel Carson wrote “Silent Spring” while she was dying of breast cancer, Mr. Peck continued to travel and give his lectures for years, despite his painful illness.

Can a person be wealthy and not be a sociopath ? Certainly. Bill Gates (whose family in Seattle had a long history of philanthropy) is an example.  Warren Buffet has a long history of being critical of the IRS code: ”Why does my secretary pay more taxes than I do ?” There is one more prime example: Michael Dell, who has made money since elementary school by working several paper routes at once, had earned more than the average family makes in a year by age 10, and his parents were very affluent professionals.  He worked hard at a precocious age because he just loved business. Then, in a University of Texas dorm room, he made good, inexpensive computers for other students. His business grew so fast that he soon had to move to a warehouse in Round Rock, a struggling farm town 30 miles north of Austin. The rest is history. He did not wait until he had made millions to begin his philanthropy.

Sociopaths do not give money away to help people…ever!

Yes, the Koch brothers of Kansas have promised to give the GOP 900 million dollars for the 2016 election.  That is money to ensure that they can maintain their own wealth and power however!  The Republican party is currently in the embarrassing situation:  candidates are schmoosing to get the support of various multi-billionaires.  No talk of issues important to the American people, just groveling for money from the super-rich.

The sociopathic gene (present in 0.9% of the World’s population) is not linked to any skill set.  Thus, in any population, the top 1% of sociopaths are smart enough to figure out society’s rules, as well as determine how to carry out the nefarious deeds without being caught.  Dick Cheney is a prime example.  Sociopaths with born with exceptional facility in language and all academic skills are brilliant liars.  They can pass any polygraph because they believe they are always right; even if the evidence of their crime is right in front of them!

Sociopaths can also be very charming; so, don’t let this dissuade you from being suspicious.   The facts that reveal the chronic excuses are in their history.  They are biologically programmed to lie, cheat, and steal; they enjoy causing others misery.

Therefore, a well-taken history will always reveal the sham.  As an example: children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder will have histories of cruelty to animals. (the family cat always seems to have a broken leg. They start fires, often burning the family home to the ground.) Many parents with an ODD child divorce because of the profound difficulty managing them. At this point, the child is usually put in foster care where their cruel and dangerous deeds continue.  Foster parents can be very idealistic and “just cannot believe” that a charming 6 year old can do these things. But, they do, Thus, the foster parents give up when the child is dominating their lives to the point that the parents are always arguing about whose fault it is that the child was caught stealing money.  The child bounces from foster care to foster care until they are about 12 years old. At that point, if there is a psychiatrist involved, the diagnosis is changed to “sociopathic personality disorder.” As teenagers, these children turn into petty criminals by stealing, injuring others, and illicit drug use.  The vast majority of sociopaths wind up in jail or prison for most of their lives. 

By the way, 100% of ODD children develop into sociopaths. 

Child psychiatrists have known all this for 3 decades.  What has changed is that cutting edge scientists have figured out the precise mechanism that causes the sociopath’s behavior.  This determination has come from more advanced brain scans which show all the way to the level of how neurons communicate with other neurons.  This was finalized in 2003.  The best book explaining the process is “American Mania: When More is Not Enough” by Peter Whybrow written in 2005.  An update to this information is due to be published this spring.

Other tips that may indicate you are dealing with a sociopath : the applicant for a job or an advancement does not demonstrate the skills sufficient to the obtained record of accomplishment, implying that they have cheated in some way to have a good looking record.

The sociopath excels at blackmailing, ambushing, and half-truths.

For example, the billions of dollars that the American public donated to the families of the 9/11 disaster were stolen by the CEO of the Red Cross.  When confronted by the Board of Directors, she said that her records clearly showed multiple past misbehaviors.  That should have indicated to the Board that she was a very risky choice fro the top position in the organization.  If the Board went public, she said she would produce the evidence and destroy the reputation of the Red Cross.  Her argument was so vicious that the loyal and dedicated members of the Red Cross backed down, promising not to go public with the fact that she was a thief.

Of course, nothing stays secret for very long due to the internet; the public eventually learned of the nefarious deeds of the Red Cross’s sociopathic CEO.

She has disappeared; the funds are likely to be in an offshore account.  This is exactly why the offshore bank accounts were created by the super-wealthy in the first place. 

For example, Mitt Romney got away with having multiple offshore accounts, which can only mean that he made his fortune by illegal means; more than likely as an international broker of drugs or weapon sales.  Mormons have been the top recruiting grounds for the CIA for decades. Graduates of Brigham Young University are ideal CIA operatives: they have lived in foreign countries as missionaries, thus becoming very fluent in the language and customs of these countries. They have risen to top positions in the CIA and this gave Romney protection from being identified as the broker in drug and arms transactions.  The evidence was either destroyed or Romney was warned to bail out of the deal.  I cannot prove this because, for the first time in the history of the American presidency, the candidate did not fully reveal his financial records.  This in itself implies interference in the normal process, that came from someone at a very high level ao government agencies.  Perhaps a Mormon at a high level position in the IRS.

There are to other common strategies used by sociopaths to rise to positions of power and control of large funds; these are well-noted elsewhere.

Now, let us take a look at the weaknesses of the sociopath :

1)   Since they “know” they are right, they never change their minds and never compromise. The GOP is presently caught in their own game because there is no qualified candidate for President among any of the different factions.

How are they going to select a candidate for 2016 ? In all likelihood, they will be forced to choose an outsider that no group supports.

2)   The sociopath seldom seeks “wise counsel”.  Even if they do, they go ahead with their own plan.  As an example: after a 3 week blitzkrieg of France, General Rommel (the German equivalent to America’s Patton) advised Hitler to invade England immediately because the Brits were not prepared. Hitler wanted to punish the Brits for the post WWI reparations so he wanted to bomb London to torture them.    They were, after all,  in Hitler’s mind :”just a nation of shop keepers.” (he underestimated the strength of the opposition, which is yet another sociopathic weakness.) However, the British never even hinted that they would surrender. The brilliant leadership of Winston Churchill kept them glues together.  Six months of relentless bombing of the defiant Brits gave them time to fortify the Cliffs of Dover; time for help from the Americans to arrive, making an invasion of England too costly for the Germans.

Most importantly, this gave the Americans a base of operations from which to invade the Continent and retake the territories taken by the Germans.

With no base of operations in Europe, it is very doubtful the Americans could have defeated the Germans, keeping Europe under Hitler’s control for  decades.

Hitler’s stubborn belief in his own judgment, fueled by his sociopathic desire to cause as much misery to England as possible along with his refusal to accept Rommel’s wise counsel, cost Germany the entire war.

I invite you to compare this scenario to how Romney and his Mormon counsel ran his 2012 presidential campaign.

The point of all of this dialogue is that sociopaths have an enormous amount of power, and stand in the way of a critical point in your marvelous book.  Until governments and  large corporations “by in” to the importance of policies that reduces the burning of fossil fuels, global warming will continue to rise, coming perilous close to the critical 2.8 degrees at which the warming becomes unstoppable due to a positive feedback loop.  When the frozen methane currently frozen at the bottom of the oceans, states to thaw, it causes rapid global warming, and the cycle repeats itself until a mass extinction occurs.  I know I am preaching to the choir, but I wanted you to know that I understand the process.

If sociopaths can be removed from positions of power, an earlier governmental and corporate entry into the efforts to stop the burning of fossil fuels, could easily make the difference in life or death of our species.

Again, my highest respect goes to your book, which is by far the most comprehensive and well documented book ever written about the future of our species.  Your inclusion of well recognized researchers in various aspects of your overall point of view, gives the book a very respected boost, proving that these are not just your opinions, but your ideas are enthusiastic supporters.  My favorite was the scientist who spent his career studying the causes of previous extinctions.  This man demonstrates the dedication required of an investigative scientist.

I have never been published.  I worked for 40 years as a Fmily Practice Physician.  In 2010 we moved from Seattle to Austin, and I became interested in the drought and the state of denial among the population and the failure of the government to inform the public of the severity of the situation.  I began writing essays about the situation and posting them on my blog: www.biologybehaviorchaos.blogspot.com

PS:  I know you had to endure another slushy and abbreviated winter.  Here in Austin, Texas, we face running out of water in about two years.  And the new governor is even more secretive about the danger of the drought, and will give the public any warning, and will not call the President to report a natural disaster (the normal behavior for an environmental crisis), there will be no military presence to maintain order.  Thus, we will have total socio-economic anarchy.  The first time in the history of our species that a thriving city has become a deadly place of anarchy, literally, over night.

The GOP is engaged in a power struggle among radical groups, that show clearly how far we have fallen as a Democratic Republic and the leader in the “Free World”.  For over two centuries we have been the example to the entire world, in an experiment that showed that The Statements in the Declaration could successfully carried out, and we have so successful, every one in the world has taken great risks to come here with the hopes of a better way of life.  This migration has attracted the best and brightest from around the world and fueled our economic and scientific success.  At the height of our success, we defeated two countries who had been preparing for war for years, while we did nothing due to the American public’s distaste for war. The “axis” powers fascist tendencies made life miserable for the peoples they conquered.  After the defeat of Germany and Japan, we did something never seen before in the history of our species.  Instead of the plundering of the defeated, we rebuilt those countries and installed Democratic Republic government and stayed many years until the governments and economies were working well.

In the fifties virtually every one in America had everything they needed.  We had the only vigorous economy in the world.  Then Television, released a Pandora’s box of difficulties, and our social institutions that formed the glue that help society started to unravel at a remarkable pace.  Government, schools, churches, families, charitable institutions---any thing you can think of fell apart.  A group of economists at the University of Chicago believed that this disintegration was due to a flaw in the Constitution and devised a plan to return to an Aristocracy.  Never mind that aristocracies had always failed, and intended in violent revolutions because of the misdistribution of wealth.

This plot has been carried out silently, and using Texas as an example, have succeeded.

Since 1998 the GOP has had complete control of every element of government in Texas.  The following are their accomplishments, achieved with intent.  The stats are public as compiled by the Federal government.

1)Texas 1argest economy in the world (California is 5^th)

2)Texas has by far the largest incarceration rate per capita in the world

3)Texas rates 49^th in spending per student in the public schools (only  Alabama is lower.  A visit to Alabama feels like a time machine trip to the 50’s)

4) Texas rates 51^st in Medicaid spending, even lower than Washington DC).  In spite of knowledge that sending the poor to the Emergency Room for medical care and thus increasing the cost 5 to10 times, Governor Perry turned down (9.5 billion in essential free money to correct this abominable situation.  Perry’s reason was to show he could “stand up” to Obama in order to garner support for his potential run at the presidency.  A Texas physician estimates that 2000 Texans would perish needlessly if the situation was not improved.)

And there is more….

Presently, there is a battle among GOP potential candidates for President, none are well qualified for the position, but they are groveling at the feet of the super-rich for their economic support.  Issues are not discussed, just an embaressing groveling for money.  The Koch Bros and other super-rich are in the spotlight.

This is not the way a Democratic Republic works.  The government must make compromises from varied points of view and do what is best for the American People.  This process has been dead since at least 1990; the question of what is best for the people has not even been discussed at any level of government.

Why?  The Ivory Tower economists were wrong about the reason for the collapse of Americans institutions.  Television was the root cause, and only one man recognized the power of TV to make us mentally ill and loose our sense of values and our ability to do critical thinking.  And the worst aspect of TV was that it was addictive, almost exactly like heroin.  So once people got started watching, what was thought of as a harmless form of entertainment, they have watched more and more, up to the current day.  This hypnotic media gave the Madison Avenue boys to sell us junk we didn’t need.  The price of the junk increased until in order to pay for it, the family structure was compromised.  Dad had to work overtime, missing his son’s baseball games; mom left home to work to pay the junk bills, and was no longer in attendance at PTA meetings, and unable to follow the progress or lack of it, of their children’s educated.  Children came home to an empty house.  The final hook was, in order to the “fabricated goal, of “keeping up with the Jonses”, people were allowed to buy on credit.  This cemented the absent father stuck in a job he often hated, and mom’s absence from the home.  American life was so stressful, parents didn’t have time to care for each other and the divorce rate soared.  Unsupervised children go into trouble.  The public’s response to all these negative occurrences was to watch more TV, as they were as addicted to the escapism, they behaved just like a junkie whose only goal was to find a recourse for more heroin.

With the public’s attention captivated by the TV, the politician’s took control of all aspects of government, because the voting public couldn’t remember what they had promised last election, and were too stressed and addicted to have the motivation to research what they had been told before.  So, politicians quickly that they could tell the public what they wanted to hear, then do as they pleased, and still get elected again because no one paid attention to what they were doing.

That is where we stand today.  But all is not lost, because the sociopaths carrying out this plethora of nefarious acts, can be defeated.  It is easy with just a little study to learn to recognize a sociopath.  And sociopaths have some glaring weaknesses, that can easily be exploited, and taken down from their positions of power.  The key is education, and the comedy taking place within the GOP should wake people up to the necessity for change.

On top of that, each radical group within the GOP, has a goal of taking over the government, dispensing with the Constitution and establishing a religious based aristocracy.  Thus, they are all traitors like the Mormon Mitt Romney.  The Mormon Church’s goal has always been to take over the government, convert it to a religious aristocracy and use the American military to take over the rest of the world and convert everyone to Mormonism.  They believe that they are God’s chosen people for this task.  History tells us clearly that anytime an aggressive nation believes they are “God’s Chosen People”, violent and extensive bloodshed will follow.

The result of the current GOP groveling for money will be that the various traitorous plots will be revealed to an awakening American People, and hopefully they will decide that this Anti-Americanism must be stopped, even if a civil war is necessary.

The Missing Water: Underground Aquifers

Corruption in Texas, is going to ruin the State. and it's abuse of "disposable" persons, sets a dangerous precedent for the rest of the country. The systematic refusal to manage the drought in any way, will destroy Austin, and most of West Texas will destroy the economy. The cost of moving the State Capital will be enormous and scare off any new business, which has the horse Perry has ridden to his position, encouraging companies and people to move to Texas, will blow up in the GOP faces. The well kept secret to prevent running dry has been the exploitation of the water table, by a few ruthless individual. Underground water does not belong to Texas, but the landowners, and it allows drilling laterally into other people's water table supply. It is legal theft and most small land owners will have their wells run dry, and their land rendered useless. For the past 3 years half of the reported water use has come from the underground sources, to the benefit of a few. When this supply is sucked dry there will be nothing to fall back on.

An outrageous decision.  The Supreme Court, has apparently practicing medicine, with no credentials.  This battle must be escalated.  Taking women's rights to control their bodies, WAS one of the greatest accomplishments of the 20th century.  Start with a barrage of outrage, and escalate to verbal warfare and massive boycotts.

Looking at this country of "freedom of religion" nation; one wonders if the Justices have bothered to read the Constitution since law school.  Even more dire:  If homo sapiens doesn't control our population, BILLIONS of deaths will follow, and the survival of the species is threatened.  This is probably the worst decision ever made by the SC.  

In effect corporations have become physicians by proxy.  On the basis religious bigotry, they now have the power to decide what treatment , or the lack of it, is appropriate for a female and her doctor.  Every State has strict laws against practicing medicine without a license.  This SC  decision throws out all State Laws that protect the public against fraudulent physicians.  Now, you need no training, no license.  Just be a corporate head---no requirements for that “position”----and you can dictate the practice of medicine.  There goes “Roe vs Wade”, after being staunchly up help for 50+ years.

 Worse yet, this story was effectively  suppressed.  Couldn’t even find this landmark decision, as anything but a sound bite on MSN, CNN etc.  The media control by the R wing super rich who own all the major media, has effectively  kept this from the public.  The Constitution is in grave jeopardy, when the Supreme Court doesn’t give it any weight , and ignores their own past decisions.  There will be no uprising regarding women’s right, since the general public has no idea that their fundamental rights have been ripped out from under them.
